CUSTOM BOTANICAL PERFUMERY:
FEES: Custom Botanical Perfumery consultation sessions are $200.00 in-person and by phone (locally ONLY) and include one custom 10 ml oil or 10 ml solid perfume. Fees for re-orders of the perfumes will be for cost of product only. Perfume cost varies by individual product.
I LOVE scent! We were always “smell people”. You, know, the people you see in the store smelling everything that we could from shampoo to candles to detergent? Yeah, that was us. I really, really DO love scent! I always enjoyed perfumes as a teenager and later my mother worked at the cosmetics counter for a major department store so we had perfumes galore - like between us all I would say likely even hundreds. She did perfume demoing for for some major perfumers for awhile and I even did it for a short time too. I wish I understood as much as I do about perfumes now then.
I first discovered essential oils originally in 2000 and I was in love! My first oils and the first aromatherapy book I bought were for their magickal uses and simply for the delight of it. I bought Vetiver, Black Pepper, Rosewood, Orange, Patchouli, Frankincense, Lemon and Virginian Cedarwood and Lavender. I was hooked right from go and began creating blends and perfumes right away and even back then I decided I would love to take an Aromatherapy course. I finally did it in 2017 and every day I am glad I did. It is more than simply a part of my life - it is a part of myself and my creative expression and through it I can bring help to others as well. Creating perfumes from these gorgeous plant materials is pure joy to me! My perfumes have helped me through many difficult times and provided me with comfort and solace when I needed them while simply being joyous. Aaaahhhhh! Perfume is joy, it is fun, it is creative and expressionary and for those who love it know that it is more than simply something that smells great - smelling and wearing an amazing perfume is an experience!
While Custom Botanical Perfumery is essentially a part of my Custom Holistic Aromatherapy practice, I have given it it’s own place here because it is such a special and loved area of my work for both my clients and myself and it deserves it. All of the perfumes I create are made from all only vegan plant-derived essential oils, absolutes, resinoids, infused carrier oils (and in solid perfumes plant waxes) with nothing else added. My perfumes are all designed and created from scratch and because my approach to designing and creating perfumes is connected to my Custom Holistic Aromatherapy work, there are similarities in the process that include the initial in-take consultation with a focus on safety information and possible contraindications, scent likes and dislikes, goals for the perfume, the perfume type, and even what beneficial aromatherapeutic properties your personal perfume may offer based on your likes. Once I have your personal custom perfume formula complete, it will be saved and will NEVER be used for, made for or given to anyone else and you can reorder it any time you wish for just the price of the product itself. Your perfume formula can sometimes be made into other products as well (such as body oils, bath salts, diffuser blends, etc).
