If intuition is not already something you include in your daily routine, these 5 points may just help get you started!
1) Intuition is NOT some rare gift awarded only to a select few. We are ALL intuitive! It is an inborn skill that has been built into us to help navigate the twists and turns of life. Although there may be some more apt to use it than others and maybe some even a bit better at it, we all have access to our intuition. The more you acknowledge and trust it, the stronger it will be. 2) You are ALREADY using your intuition in your life, even if you don't recognize it! Whenever you find yourself making a decision or coming to a conclusion in life that does NOT seem to stem from something rational or logical that you "know" experientially, or through direct evidence, that is intuition at play. Intuition does not rely on "facts" and is free to bring in to us information outside of what we "should" be able to access at any given time. Our intuition knows no boundaries. 3) Your intuition will express itself in your life in relation to how your personality does. If you tend to be a very visual person, then your intuition will most likely come through to you in that way also. If you are very direct in your nature, or are concerned with fine detail, you will find your intuition operating in much the same ways. Work to develop the form of intuitive awareness that is most in line with your strengths. 4) Everyone is unique and the way their intuition appears to them can be too. Many people think of intuition as something that comes to us as dramatic visions or violent reactions to things, but the truth is, intuition can also be extremely subtle. It will be individual for each of us and can come in many forms. Some receive visual, auditory, or emotional cues, and some may be guided through synchronistic signs. For most, it seems to be a combination of forms and cues. 5) The MOST important factor in learning to harness and improve your intuition is learning to trust it and yourself implicitly. Our intuition is always available to us and it never stops working, but we are very good at finding ways of dismissing or ignoring it. Pretty much everybody can think of at least a time or two where they did not follow their intuition and later wished they had. Luckily, there are also just as many stories of people grateful they did! True intuition does NOT lie, and it is NEVER inaccurate (although our INTERPRETATIONS of intuitive information can be sometimes misunderstood). When we begin to give more room and more credence to our intuitive nudges, the more they will take front and center in our awareness, and the BETTER we will be able to function in the world. Life runs much smoother when we are paying attention! Now that you know a little bit more about intuition and how it operates in your life, you can begin to let it's unlimited assistance become available to you as it was always meant to be! Peace, light, blessings, and a wonderful day! Melinda! August 2014.

4/14/2014 0 Comments How I cured my back pain NATURALLY - NO drugs, NO surgery, NO conventional therapy, and NO B.S. (NO - this is NOT a commercial)!!! Part two of two.Part two of two.
***DISCLAIMER: My sharing of this information is in NO WAY intended to REPLACE or SERVE AS MEDICAL ADVICE of any kind! It is offered here to serve as INSPIRATION ONLY into the kind of personal healing we are ALL able to access within ourselves and is to be used at the READER'S OWN DISCRETION! Seek the help of qualified professionals when you need them (Holistic or otherwise) because we don't HAVE to do this alone and the more support we can receive the better! Everything mentioned here is compatible right along with complementary, holistic, and allopathic treatment as well. The method: I want to share with you now the insight into HOW this type of healing takes place so you can apply it more fully to your own life and any health challenges you might be facing! I feel this is something we can ALL accomplish if we are able to expand our thinking to include the possibilities of such methods! This is my attempt to help you do so for yourself! My understanding of healing in this manner began in 2000 when I began to explore and then to practice (and eventually teach) both complementary and holistic health. The body, mind, spirit connection is one that is so often overlooked in the face of Western medicine. Sure, it is a popular trending topic right now but the true strength of what that connection is capable of has been watered down and lost in popular culture. What it really implies is that our current state of health is a REFLECTION of our INNER state of either peacefulness or turmoil. It is all related to consciousness and energy and we are ALL made up of energy! There is an understanding in energy healing (and in science, actually) that states that energy goes into the places where focus or observation is placed. This is true in our BODIES as well! Since there is a correlation between our physical health and our thoughts and emotions, it makes sense that what we focus on will be reflected in our bodies for good or ill. For an example, in the case of my back issue, my focus had become far too much about financial worry. Money worries make me feel weak and like I cannot support myself or my family - hence the weakness in my back and the inability to fully support my body properly! One serves as a reflection of the other! A reverse example would be when you receive some really great news and have something great to look forward to and the cold you had begun to get disappears immediately! It seems like MAGIC and in a way it is! Our consciousness works with our energy to constantly create and recreate our state of health with every thought! Luckily, everyone is able to harness this awareness and improve their health if they are open to doing so! When it comes to doing this type of work with ourselves, something else to keep in mind is that since what we focus on gets stronger, the more we focus on FIXING or CURING something in our bodies (or our lives, for that matter), the STRONGER we make it! This is where I accidentally got myself stuck when I was trying to improve my back - I was spending so much time, effort, and energy on letting go of what was affecting it and trying to narrow down the thoughts that were behind it, that I was inadvertently ADDING MORE energy to it & making it worse! In effect, I was PREVENTING it from being able to heal itself! I have been doing this work forever & I STILL got hung up on this, so don't feel bad or be discouraged if it takes a bit for you to get a fix on this kind of understanding! What changed when I decided to return to the affirmations as opposed to trying to fix my back was that I began to put my focus and energy on myself being healthy and feeling good (feeling prosperous, in this case) through the positive emotions of the affirmations. When I did that, the energy was freed up to facilitate the healing I required (and helped to alleviate my money worry too which ALWAYS feels good)! So if you find yourself being stuck with a health issue that doesn't seem to want to improve and you want to apply some of the mind-body-spirit-energy connection to your situation and you don't know where to begin, start by asking yourself: A) What circumstances in your life have been attracting your attention the most lately?; B) What thoughts are you most focused on right now in your life?; and C) What are you worrying about right now in your life?. When you ask these questions, you can begin to formulate an affirmation or a thought that will counter the energy that is connected to the issue within the body. For example: feeling lonely or abandoned would become feeling included and nurtured; feeling unworthy would become worthy; feeling sad would become feeling joyous; etc. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it, you can apply it in every situation regarding your health and your life! Well, there you have it! I hope that this has given you a little bit of food for thought when it comes to how much power and control you have over your own state of health and your body! May my story spark a fire within your thinking that leads you closer to the well-being that you both deserve and are capable of achieving! Thank you for reading and all's well that bends well! Ahahaha! I couldn't resist! Peace, love, light, and joy! Melinda Erin Whitehead! Seek the help of qualified professionals when you need them (Holistic or otherwise) because we don't HAVE to do this alone and the more support we can receive the better! Everything mentioned here is compatible right along with complementary, holistic, and allopathic treatment as well. The story: The first time I had an issue with a herniated disc in my lower back and into my sciatic was when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter over 20 years ago. It was not a nice experience but it was minor. Over the years I experienced it a handful of times but it was short in duration and nothing very extreme until a few years ago, after my husband's mother died. I was down and out HARD for a good six weeks. I could not stand, walk or lay down. I slept in a chair. I ate in the chair. I sat in the chair. I LIVED in the chair! It was excruciating, but the whole time, I never felt like I was in a bad place or was "suffering" in any manner, even though I was in tremendous pain physically. I knew that that experience too, like all of the experiences in our lives, would pass. I live a holistic lifestyle so my treatment regimen included all manner of holistic approaches including herbs, energy work, body work, homeopathy, self-work, yoga, exercises, etc. Nothing seemed to work fast enough for me because it impeded my life so greatly, but I attempted to remain patient, and in time, it improved and I returned to my routines. I must admit that like every circumstance we endure, I learned a lot about myself during this time and I was extremely grateful for that! It never FULLY healed after that though, and I carried it forward with me. I ignored it as it nagged and ached everyday and flared up here and there until it began to build and progressively get worse again over time. Eventually, a couple of months ago, the pain began to crowd out the rest of my day and become my main focus. It hurt. It had gotten bad like that time a few years ago - only then it was my lower back only and this time it had added the sciatic of my whole right leg to the mix. I did a lot of lamaze-type breathing and even more groaning and crying!!! I once again began my regimen of natural approaches and was recieving treatment from multiple qualified practitioners, but I was seeing no improvement this time. Not even a slow one. Yesterday I had squatted down in a store to check out something on a bottom shelf and almost had a panic attack for a moment because I did not think I would be able to get up, but I did. I didn't feel good. I hadn't felt good in awhile. I wasn't sleeping and I just hurt. A lot. I began to feel really discouraged this time. I was having a much harder time reminding myself that "this too would pass" this time, even though I knew better. Last night I was preparing to go to bed and I was stalling because the very thought of the pain and insomnia that accompanied going to bed was extremely distressing to me. I had tried sleeping with my back on a pillow and the pillow had made me slide out of the bed so I felt I had nothing left to try . . . or DID I? I decided to go back to basics and address my pain and issues through the use of affirmations. This is nothing new for me and I have cured myself of countless ailments from asthma (both acutely and chronically), to women's issues, to colds, bruises, fevers, bone infections, and many things in between so my BELIEF in the efficacy of this type of method (I have both lived and practised holistically for close to fifteen years now) was already well in place. Throughout the years in my business and in my personal life, I have come to recognize the role that our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs play on our health and that they are intricately connected. I had been trying to work out the things I felt related to this problem both last time and this time (it was financial worry, if you are wondering) but I just couldn't create a breakthrough for myself. I was truly struggling. Last night I just stopped TRYING to "let go" of my stuff, and stopped TRYING to analyze it. Quite frankly, I just didn't have the energy to do it anymore anyway. I was just too sore & too tired. I stood at the side of my bed, took a few nice deep breaths and began to affirm to myself that "all the resources I required were available to me inside at all times" and I just kept repeating it. I climbed into my bed and it DIDN'T HURT to do so! "Okay! NOW we're getting somewhere!", I thought! I just kept breathing deeply and repeating my affirmation as I lay there COMFORTABLY and without pain for the first time in probably a month until I fell asleep. As I awoke to roll over several times last night, I repeated the affirmation until I fell back to sleep each time and GUESS WHAT?!? I had NO pain the entire night and slept wonderfully!!! This morning when I woke up and climbed off my bed (it's over waist high), I did not yelp, or have to do strange yoga moves just to be able to walk from my room but instead just casually strolled out! It was like it had never even been sore! My spine had become tight and sore other places as well as I had made accommodations in my posture while it was painful at the base and even THOSE spots felt loose and open! It has now been all day and I am still pain-free! I am continuing to do my affirmations and will continue as long as necessary, but I am confident that my back has healed! As I cleaned the house today, I could not resist pushing my limits a little (okay - A LOT) and although it may not have been the brightest idea, I had to show myself that all was well with it and it IS indeed! My dogs have not had the privilege of doing that much dancing with me in a long time (don't let them fool you - they LOVE it)! This morning I was thinking about how we are all working so hard to cope with life and then it hit me - WHY are we focusing so much energy into just COPING with life when we should be THRIVING in life?
I think the first problem comes with that very thought itself. We have stopped striving do succeed in life and have settled into the complacency of just "getting by". We are capable of so much more than merely surviving our lives. The definition of coping is to be able to effectively handle something unpleasant or difficult that we are going through. That is all well and good but let's just say it out loud - life DOES seem difficult! It is filled with ups and downs and there will ALWAYS be things going on that we have to make adjustments to. Life is ABOUT changing and adjusting and growing. That is not really the issue. I feel that the issue here is that we are so focused on the idea of COPING with what we are dealt, that we have lost the realization that we can do BETTER, and that we are MORE than able to just cope with each day! True coping begins on the inside. With us personally and individually. NOT by escaping the hardships we feel we are faced with, and certainly not through the eradication of the things which we feel caused us a disturbance. No. Only through going inside where all of our REAL abilities to cope, to be balanced, and to succeed in life live, can we begin to address what is really at the root of our discomfort. To me (speaking from MY OWN personal experience and view of life), when we are not able to find a level of comfort or acceptance at any given time with where we are in our lives and with ourselves, we begin to turn to outer methods of coping. We ALL have them. A big one for me is sleep. I can be a sleep-escapist. Whether the method be sleeping, drinking, shopping, entertainment, drugs, eating, etc, the common problem remains the same - we have not dealt with the root of why we are trying to escape OURSELVES to begin with. One great way to work with this is for ourselves is to learn to be present and to be able to find acceptance of, and love for ourselves in any given moment. When we become present and we CHOOSE to be kind to ourselves in the understanding that we may NOT always behave perfectly, we free up a WHOLE LOT of energy to be able to handle navigating the changes that we are constantly surrounded with, and even end up STRENGTHENING our ability to effectively handle life! Just think about how much WASTED energy we expend on lamenting about the past or worrying about an unknown future that we could instead be alloting to improving our lives! NO WONDER we can only just cope to get by - we have given up our birthright to live well through the false belief that we are not meant to and don't "deserve" to, and the energy necessary to do so right along with it! What a load of CRAP! We can choose to remain open to the energy that is available to us at any given time and spend our time wisely directing it towards joyous living rather than barely manuevering through our days. Coming to acceptance of ourselves and wherever we may be does NOT imply settling, either - in fact the very opposite is true! When we can openly and honestly face ourselves and choose to allow ourselves to BE in whatever situation we may be in, we then RELEASE the need to settle. The energy inside us then propells us ahead! We can begin to look forward to where we might LIKE to go instead of dumping all of our energy into remaining where we already are. We have ALREADY put ENOUGH energy into where we are! That's exactly how we got here in the first place! So, the next time you find yourself feeling overwhelmed with life and automatically reaching for some outer method of dealing with what is disturbing you - stop instead, and take a deep breath before reminding yourself that it is OKAY to be where you are and who you are! Reassure yourself that all things are transitory and this experience is no different. KNOW that you have the ability to navigate EACH AND EVERY curve life appears to throw at you and release the energy to help yourself do so! When we turn inward instead of reaching outwardly to cope (which is the very circumstance that CAUSED us to become ruffled enough to have to in the first place), we will then find that by living fully with acceptance in each moment, we were thriving the whole time anyway! Peace, joy, love, and well-being be yours! Melinda! April 2014. 3/16/2014 1 Comment 5 ways Spirit speaks - How our loved ones communicate with us from the other side. There are many ways those on the other side use to communicate with us. To convey their love, their affection, and to let us know that they are alright. Although our loved ones are around interacting with us on a regular basis, it can be easy to overlook if we are not sure what to look for.
As much as I am happy that the media and popular culture has embraced the spiritual side of life in a big way, it is a mixed bag. With all of the so-called "reality" shows on television right now (and believe me, I am addicted to watching them all), there is a real misconception of what spirit communication looks like. If it is not dramatic or Hollywoodesque, then it must not be from spirit! They throw glasses or appear at your bedside in full form, or speak through your cell phone, right!?!? Well, sure - sometimes! Generally speaking though, it is something much less distinguishable from other everyday occurrence. This list is meant to open up the door to some of the SUBTLER (and much more common) ways in which spirit communicates with us from the other side. If we are willing to stop and expand our perceptions and listen with our hearts, we can become aware of all of the ways our loved ones continue to share their lives with us! 1) "Random" thoughts. Those times when what seems as though a very random thought pops into our minds and leaves us reminded of a loved one, it can often be a sign that those in spirit are connecting with us at that moment and sending their greetings. 2) Finding coins, feathers, tokens, or other small items. Our loved ones enjoy sending us little reminders and gifts to show us that they are around and sending us their care, love and support. Next time you find a coin on the ground, you just might want to say "hello" to those in spirit who are always close by. 3) Scents. One of the easiest ways spirits can signal their presence to us appears to be through scents. Whether it is the scent of tobacco, flowers, perfume, or even a fragrance they were associated with, scents are a common way our loved ones show us they are around. 4). Sensing energy or movement out of the corner of your eye. Our loved ones have continued on in a different form and it is not unusual to sense or even physically perceive their energy as they move throughout the space around us. The more relaxed and present we can learn to be, the easier it becomes to sense the energies of the spirit world that are constantly surrounding us sending messages of love and eternity. 5) Dreams. Our dreams act as a doorway into the spirit world. We can both receive visits from those on the other side in our dreams, or we can actually travel to the other side ourselves to interact with those there. Don't underestimate the importance or validity of a visitation or message only because it was "just" in a dream. With peace, joy, and love! Melinda! ^_^ 10/26/2013 0 Comments The Nature of Death, Dying, and the Afterlife - Why we don't need to be afraid. I am offering this post today in hopes of helping to alleviate some of the fear surrounding these topics. The views I share here are a reflection of my own beliefs resulting from the evolution and learning that I have done over the years regarding the subject. As I continue to grow, learn, and evolve, so too will my understanding of death, dying, and the afterlife, but this is where I am today. I offer this to you in an effort to convey a different perspective than the one that is usually shared. You will also notice that I use the terms "God", "Divine", and "Source" interchangably as I see them all as only different interpretations of the same energy form!
Death Death. For many of us, this is one of the scariest words in the world. Why? Is it because of the loss of control it represents? The supposed finality? Fear of the unknown or of what may be waiting for us after the fact? The fear of the pain and suffering that is often a part of the dying process? The sadness that we know is accompanied by the loss of a loved one? All of the above? Most likely it's a little bit of all these things. We live in a culture that is riddled with the perception that death is some ENEMY to battle, thwart or defeat, but nothing could actually be further from the truth! In living, the most NATURAL thing in life is death! Living organisms die. All of them. Things die everywhere. Every moment. No exceptions. Be agreeing to live, we have also agreed that we will die. Why then, have we in the West become so terrified of such a normal process? Allopathic medicine, religion, politics, media. Fear is a big industry. Spiritual people all across our planet have known forever that death was not an ending or some unnatural force, but instead a changing of forms. An evolution of sorts for the spirit. Source perceives death as simply as it perceives the wind blowing or a baby smiling. It is OUR narrow human context that has related death to being a punishment, or to being some call home from a greedy deity who controls us and decides who lives or dies. We exert much more control over our circumstances than we are led to believe. In my opinion, we make that choice completely within our own power . . . Dying I believe that we all CHOOSE our own deaths ourselves! There! I SAID it! I believe that when we die, it is something that we have orchestrated and executed (no pun intended) within our own spiritual power, and NOT in some plan that we have devised before birth and carried out in rote, either. No. I believe that we choose to leave our bodies and return to our most natural state (spirit / energy) for many reasons that are as numerous and varied as our individual earthly personalities are. I have witnessed many passings over the years involving both people and animals where the pattern leading up to the death is very obvious - and it is NOT always for some negative and terrible reason. As I said, the Divine sees death as just one of many ways to accomplish any number of outcomes. It holds no stigma with death and will assist us in making our transition whenever we require to do so. I know this with total certainty in my life. No, I have not had a near-death or out-of-body experience within this lifetime, but I have experienced something that led me to the same conclusions as many of those who have. Quite a few years ago, I was in a place where the sadness of the world was weighing heavily on me and I was feeling very dark. My personal life was fine and it was something much more collective in nature than personal. I was definitely not suicidal in that regard, but I thought constantly about the cruelty and horrors of what we humans do to ourselves on our planet and if God would have opened up a doorway to the otherside right in front of me, I would have stepped through without any hesitation at all. One day I was standing outside and thinking about how heavy the burden of life here was and a clear, crisp voice cut through my melancholy with the words "You better stop before you think yourself out!". I INSTANTLY had an understanding of what this meant! I had never considered this idea before! In fact, up until that moment I also bought into the idea that we plan our lives out previously to coming here. What I realized was that through my thoughts and my focus, I was inadvertantly bringing myself closer and closer to exiting my body and my life permanently. I was CHOOSING! I was in control and I had not even known it. I am postitive that if I had not heeded the warning I was given to change my thinking, I would have manifested for myself some terminal illness or met with some traumatic end. As you can see, I decided to persist - for awhile, anyways. Along with my own personal encounter with the nature of dying, I have seen the patterns that led up to many, many people and animals deaths. Not all were as negative as mine. Some are. I have also seen situations in which people have aspired to create change in the world with such zest and gusto that their deaths were the result. This takes place not because they have CONSCIOUSLY desired to bring about their death, but because in a universe where death is a neutral occurance, it just happened to be the most powerful and effective event to bring about the result they so desired. This is not a tragedy. It is simply the universe displaying it's connectivity. On the flipside, many beings will cause their deaths through their great sadness and unhappiness with themselves and their own lives. This is also NOT a tragedy. The only tragedy in these situations is that they felt they had to endure such sadness in their lives to begin with. Another aspect of death and dying that scares us is the fear that we will have to deal with pain and suffering in the time leading up to our deaths. No one likes the idea of suffering or of watching our loved ones having to suffer. Now THAT is scary! What I can offer to you in comfort about this is that I have witnessed firsthand that we exit our bodies before we leave them. When I was waiting at the bedside of a wonderful friend who was dying from end-stage Alzheimer's disease, her spirit appeared at the head of her bed. She looked so happy and when I told her that it was time for her to go and it was okay, she stated that she didn't have to go anywhere now because she felt better than she had in ages. I explained that this was due to the fact that she was outside of her body and recognizing the freedom of returning to the soul-form, but if she was to rejoin her body in an effort to remain in this life, she would be thrust back into the mental fog and loss of bodily control that had been the result of the disease on her body. I am not sure she was quite convinced at that time, but she did pass later that night. Our souls will also leave the body before encountering a trauma. That is why if you injure yourself or experience something very painful or terrifying, you may not remember it or feel like it happened to you - because in a way, it didn't. Once when my little dog was having a hypoglemic seizure and I was giving him a dose of sugar, I noticed that he had popped out of his body and was patiently waiting beside me. As he came out of the seizure, he disappeared to rejoin his body and on life went. Freedom from the bodily form is one of complete connection to the energy that we all originate from and is not a return to be feared by any means. It truly is heaven! Something else that seems to come up a lot in discussions concerning death and dying is the idea of dying alone. I can tell you that through my years of palliative work with both people and animals and my intuitive work, NO ONE dies alone. We are always attended by powerfully compassionate beings who are there to support us in the process. I have seen angels, guides, people, animals, and even the Being know to us as the "Grim Reaper" (who is NOT a malicious entity, by the way) that have all come to greet the person at their passing. Dying people will often stare off into space and many also mention seeing and communicating with long-passed friends or family as well, which is erroneously attributed to being a side effect of medication, but I can assure you, it is NOT. Please understand that they do not FORCE or coerce the dying individual to go against their will. They are only there to support the process, not to intervene. The Afterlife Ever since my earliest childhood, I have been aware of spirit and have never really doubted the existence of something continuing after this incarnation ends. I just know. I can give you lots of subjective information and countless personal anecdotes, but it really just comes down to each of our individual degrees of openness. We are ALL spirit comprised of the same Divine and universal spiritual-energy as each other and every other thing, but some of us choose to remain more open to the possiblities that brings up. As a consequence, that leaves those who are open more aware. It does not change the nature of who and what we really are, but it affects our ability to perceive it. There are so many examples of life after death and the impact that those visitations and messages have upon us. They comfort. They support us. Sometimes they even freak us out, but even then the point remains the same - WE CONTINUE ON PAST THE MOMENT OF PHYSICAL DEATH! I have shared my life with ghosts, spirits, and many other energies over the years and what they have all taught me is that there is no reason to harbour any fear! Our dimension, universe, realm - however you want to view it - is one based on love! We are Beings of love! Life equals love! Love is the formula for life! When we die, where we end up is a matter of personal belief. That belief may be accumulated through many lifetime experiences, or be more solidly rooted in the most currest one. Many cultures believe the state of our spirit during and immediately after passing is crucial to where we end up in our afterlife. I would also agree. I have seen many ghosts (sometimes referred to as "stuck", but in actuality, they CHOOSE to remain on our plane and could move on at any time they wish to) who do not make the crossing into the other realm of energy / vibration due to their own fears about doing so. They don't want to be punished. Well, who the heck does? The saddest part about that is that this is nothing more than a small, human-created belief designed to control our behaviours. God doesn't judge - only we do. With that being said, I have also communicated with ghosts who were perfectly aware that they could cross over at any time, but were staying out of a sense of obligation to a loved one. I saw this in a father who had commited suicide and wanted to "make it right" for his teen daughter, so he stayed. There are also ghosts who refuse to accept that their physical bodies have died. They too can choose to free themselves from this realm whenever they want to. When a spirit makes the crossing into the higher vibrational energy (whether sooner or later), it becomes aware of all of the aspects of it's life (lives, really) and how they relate to everything else. A sort of debriefing takes place. Healing happens. Punishment does NOT - unless that is what you expect to find for yourself there. The realm of spirit is one of energy and so what you intend is made manifest for you (as it also is here on a kind of lower vibrational scale) and it can be for you what you wish. It comes from you and YOU decide. Spirit is fluid, constantly in motion and responding to your beliefs. People are often confused about what spirit communication is like and if they have not recognized some dramatic event, assume they have never experienced it. Wrong! Spirit communication is way less Hollywood and way more community theatre! Spirit communication is generally simple and subtle. It CAN be delivered with a "bang", sure, but it is usually less extreme. A dream. A song. A "random" out of place thought. A breeze. Those are all avenues for spirit to get our attention. They are ALWAYS with us. Honestly, they are able to be CLOSER to us than they ever were in life, but we just don't notice them. The problem is that we are not usually looking, and if we are, we tend to dismiss it anyways. No wonder we are afraid. We are walking around on the earth with our eyes squeezed tightly shut and our hands behind our backs! THAT is the only REAL reason have for grief! We must choose to open our eyes and we will see we don't need to be afraid or feel alone! We never did because we never were! Well, I hope that this has helped to give you a glimpse into my life with death, dying, and the afterlife and that it has helped to dispell some of the more common reasons we hold onto our fears of them. If I have offered you any comfort, insight, or a perspective you may not have thought about before, than I have fulfilled my obligation to the urgings of spirit on the matter. Well, until they teach me something new, of course! Peace, joy, love, and light to you and may you live your life unafraid! Melinda! ^_^ 10/23/2013 0 Comments You are your own miracles! If I were to ask you right now whether or not you believed in yourself, you would imagine that there would be a few different possible answers. In all actuality, there appears to me to be only one for everyone and it's an emphatic YES! This may seem to be untrue at first look, but when you stop and try to really be aware, it becomes clear.
In that small moment immediately after the question is posed to you, and before the subconscious mind reacts with some negative admonishment, that pure, REAL part of you answers with a resounding "YES!"! Our Souls OBVIOUSLY know that we are unlimited Beings and that we are capable of creating the most magnificent of lives for ourselves, but the problem is that we refuse to admit it! Why? Well, because the world we live in has convinced itself with it's outward turn that it is EXPERT at deciding what is and what is not possible. This is simply not true. Our world is shaped from the inside out, so every time we change a thought or shift perspective, we have already altered what is "possible"! What IF we actively chose to believe in ourselves? What would happen? Would our support systems fall away leaving us scrambling on our own? Would all of the things we grasp onto so tightly be torn away from us? Quite the contrary! When we can live our lives with the basic understanding and realization that we ARE amazing and that we DO have the ability to create wonderful and fantastical things, we will become our own MIRACLE MAKERS! The difference between SAYING that you believe in yourself and FEELING it is one of pure faith. What do YOU think you could achieve? Could you do ANYTHNG, or are there limitations you place on yourself based solely around what is "logical and rational"? Belief is really not rational nor logical - it just IS! I have never met Henry Ford, or Donald Trump, or Jay-Z, but I am willing to wager a guess that the only difference between them achieving their goals and you achieving yours is their unwavering faith in themselves to get there! Their BELIEF that the future was open to them and that THEY were the only deciding factor was the key! What is keeping you from sharing that level of faith in yourself? Just because you HAVEN'T had it happen yet, certainly doesn't mean you WON'T or CAN'T make it happen! The potential is YOURS to uncover! I believe in you - now it's YOUR turn! Today is as good a day as any to begin to view yourself as the limitless, miraculous, and DIVINE Being that you truly are, so . . . what is stopping you? Make a plan, SEE it happening, FEEL it done, and no matter what resistance you may encounter from your subconscious or from others around you for believing something that appears unbelievable, maintain your faith in an unwavering way that allows you to see yourself in the way that the Universe already DOES, and just remember how many things are acheived everyday that were at one time believed impossible! Peace, Love, Joy and all your dreams come true! Melinda! |
